This is the foundation (awareness) training that gives your team the logic of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, its core concepts and the requirements of the standard. It works through the process approach, the PDCA cycle and risk-based thinking in a hands-on way. The training is delivered by Sistem Patent Kalite; participants receive a certificate of attendance. The training prepares you for certification but does not by itself provide the ISO 9001 certificate.
The ISO 9001 foundation training starts from the concepts of quality and the quality management system and works through the structure and the requirements of the standard as a whole. The training covers the quality management principles, the process approach and the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle, the context of the organization and interested parties, leadership and the quality policy, risks and opportunities (risk-based thinking), planning and quality objectives, support (resources, competence, documented information), operation, performance evaluation (monitoring, internal audit, management review) and improvement. The clauses of the standard (clauses 4 to 10) are explained with examples, and participants relate them to their own processes. The training can be delivered in-house or as open enrolment, face to face or online. The aim is for participants to understand ISO 9001 correctly and to be ready for advanced training such as building and maintaining the system and internal audit.
The training suits quality teams, process and unit owners, managers and all employees new to the subject who want to build, maintain or understand the quality management system. There is no prerequisite. At the end of the training a certificate of attendance or achievement is issued that records attendance and, where applied, the assessment; this document shows that the person attended the training. One important distinction: ISO 9001 training does not by itself give the organization the ISO 9001 certificate; certification is obtained through the audit of an accredited certification body. The training prepares the organization and the team for that process.
