IFS Food training gives you the requirements of the IFS Food standard, which is requested above all by German, French and European retail chains, together with the knock-out (KO) requirements, the scoring system and audit readiness. A certificate of attendance is issued to participants.
IFS Food training addresses the requirements of the IFS Food standard recognized by GFSI. The training covers the structure of the IFS standard and GFSI recognition, senior management responsibility, the quality and food safety management system, resource management (personnel, hygiene, training), planning and control of production processes (including HACCP), measurement, analysis and improvement, food defence and external audits, knock-out (KO, rejection) requirements and their importance, the IFS scoring system (major and minor nonconformities and the effect of scores on the audit result) and audit readiness. The training is based on the current version of the standard and is reinforced with production examples.
The training is suitable for the food safety and quality teams, production managers and relevant employees of food manufacturers that target or maintain IFS Food certification; basic knowledge of HACCP and food safety is useful. A certificate of attendance or achievement is issued at the end of the training. IFS is frequently requested for supply to German, French and European retail chains in particular. Sistem Patent Kalite both delivers the training and can provide consulting to prepare for the IFS Food certification process (see our IFS Food Certificate page).
Note: Training is delivered by Sistem Patent Kalite (Academy); participants receive a certificate of attendance or achievement. Training alone does not grant the related ISO certificate; certification is issued after the audit of an accredited certification body, and the training prepares you for that process. Internationally recognized qualifications such as Lead Auditor depend on the course being accredited or approved (for example by Exemplar Global or IRCA). Duration and scope are set according to your needs ().
In IFS, some requirements are defined as knock-out (KO); a serious nonconformity against these requirements can cause the audit to be considered unsuccessful. The training teaches the KO requirements and their effect on the audit result, so that you can focus on the critical points.
IFS audits are evaluated with a result and a level based on the type of nonconformities and their effect on the score. The training explains major and minor nonconformities, the logic of scoring and how the certification level is determined, which strengthens audit readiness.
Both are food safety standards recognized by GFSI and serve a similar purpose; their structures, scoring and some requirements differ. IFS stands out in German and French retail chains in particular, while BRCGS stands out in chains of British origin; the choice depends on the target market.
Yes, a certificate of attendance or achievement is issued. This is not the organization's IFS Food certificate; certification is obtained through the audit of an approved certification body.
We will design the course around your team; you can also assign courses through the corporate training software (LMS) and track completion and certificates of attendance from a single platform.
