FSSC 22000 training introduces the FSSC 22000 food safety certification scheme recognized by GFSI (ISO 22000 + sector specific prerequisite programmes + additional requirements) and builds internal audit competence. It covers the foundation and internal auditor content together. A certificate of attendance or achievement is issued to participants.
FSSC 22000 training covers the elements that the FSSC scheme adds on top of the ISO 22000 food safety management system foundation. The training covers the structure of the FSSC 22000 scheme and GFSI recognition, a summary of the ISO 22000 requirements, sector specific prerequisite programmes (the ISO/TS 22002 series; for example food manufacturing, packaging, animal feed), the FSSC additional requirements (for example service management, labeling, food defence, prevention of food fraud, allergen management, environmental monitoring), the certification process and the logic of the audit, and the planning, conducting and reporting of the FSSC internal audit. The training combines foundation knowledge with internal auditor competence; it is reinforced with case studies and audit practical exercises.
The training is suitable for the food safety and quality teams of food, packaging and feed manufacturers that aim for or maintain certification under FSSC 22000; basic ISO 22000 and HACCP knowledge is recommended. A certificate of attendance or achievement (foundation and internal auditor) is issued at the end of the training. The FSSC internal audit is a requirement of the scheme; certified organizations need competent internal auditors. Sistem Patent Kalite both delivers the training and can provide consulting during the FSSC 22000 certification process (see our FSSC 22000 Certificate page).
Note: Training is delivered by Sistem Patent Kalite (Academy); participants receive a certificate of attendance or achievement. Training alone does not grant the related ISO certificate; certification is issued after the audit of an accredited certification body, and the training prepares you for that process. Internationally recognized qualifications such as Lead Auditor depend on the course being accredited or approved (for example by Exemplar Global or IRCA). Duration and scope are set according to your needs ().
FSSC 22000 is based on ISO 22000 and, by adding sector specific prerequisite programmes (the ISO/TS 22002 series) and the FSSC additional requirements (food defence, food fraud and similar), forms a complete certification scheme recognized by GFSI. FSSC is broader than ISO 22000.
FSSC 22000 requires internal audits to be carried out. Alongside foundation knowledge, the training builds the competence to plan, conduct and report the FSSC internal audit, so that the organization meets the requirement of the scheme.
GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) is an initiative that compares and recognizes food safety schemes. FSSC 22000 being recognized by GFSI means that many global retailers and brands accept this certificate, which makes market access easier.
Yes, a certificate of attendance or achievement is issued. This is not the organization's FSSC 22000 certificate; certification is obtained through the audit of an accredited certification body.
We will design the course around your team; you can also assign courses through the corporate training software (LMS) and track completion and certificates of attendance from a single platform.
