ISO 50001 training gives you the logic of the energy management system, continual improvement of energy performance, the energy review, the energy baseline and energy performance indicators (EnPIs). It is suitable for organizations that want to reduce energy costs and environmental impact. A certificate of attendance is issued to participants.
ISO 50001 training addresses the requirements of energy management and of the energy management system (EnMS). The training covers the concepts of energy and energy performance, the context of the organization and the energy policy, the energy review (analysis of energy use and consumption, determination of significant energy uses, SEUs), the energy baseline (EnB) and energy performance indicators (EnPIs), energy objectives and action plans, operational control and design, monitoring, measurement and analysis, internal audit, management review and continual improvement of energy performance. The alignment of the standard with other ISO management systems is also covered. The training is reinforced with examples of how energy data is analysed and turned into performance.
The training is suitable for energy managers, the energy management team, technical and maintenance teams, quality and environment officers and the relevant employees of organizations that want to improve energy performance; it has no prerequisite. A certificate of attendance or achievement is issued at the end of the training. ISO 50001 training does not by itself give the organization the ISO 50001 certificate; certification is obtained through the audit of an accredited body. Energy performance indicators (EnPIs) are the indicators used to measure and monitor energy performance (for example energy per unit of production). Improvement is tracked by comparing them with the energy baseline (EnB). The training teaches how to define and use them.
