Types of GOST-R Hygiene Certification
On the types of GOST-R certification, Sistem Patent Kalite, as a certification and testing-consultancy firm, offers the following information. The Russian Standard (GOST-R) certificate can be obtained under the conditions that fit your operations. The standard sets defined certificate-issuance conditions for each case.
Single-Batch Certificate
For this type, the products you sell need an importing Russian firm to buy from the Russian market. The importing firm purchases goods from you under a contract, and a defined quantity of these products can then be sold under this certificate. The certificate carries the production site, the importing firm, the product classification, the HS codes, the main contract, its date, and its number. This certificate type is valid once, for a specific Russian firm, for the product type and quantity defined on the certificate.
1-Year Serial-Production Certificate
- Certificates issued for a 1-year period based only on samples and documents, without an on-site professional visit.
- These certificates are issued for serial production and serve the same function as 3-year certificates.
3-Year Serial-Production Certificate
These are certificates issued for a 3-year serial-production scope following an on-site expert visit. Once obtained, they are valid for the customs processes of all shipments over 3 years, as well as in the locations in the Russian domestic market where declaration is mandatory.
GOST-R hygiene certificates are primarily issued against specific products, against service delivery, or against the technical specifications of applied processes.
Product-level hygiene certificates are of particular interest to manufacturers outside Russia that export or arrange exports into Russia. Samples taken from the products are tested against the relevant documentation to check whether they comply with the norms recognised in Russia. Beyond Russia, authorised certification bodies are active in Germany, Singapore, Czechia (formerly Czechoslovakia), South Korea, Moldova, Switzerland, Estonia, Hungary, and Belarus.
In Uzbekistan, because there is no national quality-certificate system in place, customs and retailers typically request the Russian GOST certificate. If you need this certificate, we can issue it. Uzbekistan generally requests GOST or GOST-R, although TSE is accredited and valid in Uzbekistan as well.
