Product Certification Services
The GOST R certificate is issued by state-accredited certification centers based on test protocols, after products are tested in laboratories accredited by the Russian State.
If your products and services require Fire and Hygiene certification alongside GOST R conformity, the GOST quality certificates are issued only after the Hygiene and Fire certificates are obtained. This follows Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Decree No. 320 of July 8, 2002 "On Products Subject to Mandatory Fire Certification" and Russian State Hygiene Standards Decree No. 325 of August 15, 2002 "On Products Subject to Mandatory Hygiene Certification".
The GOST R certificate scheme is jointly supervised by Gosstandart and Russian Customs. The Conformity Certificate confirms in writing that products meet safety standards. It is a prerequisite for placing goods on the Russian market, as required at the customs clearance entry point. Since January 1, 1998, the constitution mandates that all products subject to mandatory certification for export to Russia must bear the Conformity Mark.

Types of Hygiene Certification
Hygiene Certificates can be issued primarily for Products, the type of service, or according to the technical specifications of the applied processes.
Among these, Hygiene Certificates issued for products particularly concern non-Russian manufacturers exporting or having products exported to Russia. Samples taken from products are subjected to various tests according to the relevant documentation to investigate whether they conform to the norms accepted in Russia.
