What is the GLOBALG.A.P. Database?

Services in this category ▼

A web-based registry of GLOBALG.A.P. applicants and certified producers

The GLOBALG.A.P. database is the scheme's central, web-based registry. It records producers, producer groups, and processing sites that have applied for certification or already hold a valid certificate. Each record carries a unique GLOBALG.A.P. Number (GGN) that identifies the operation and its scope of certification.

Why the database matters to buyers

In the international fresh produce and aquaculture supply chain, procurement teams at retailers, importers, and food service buyers routinely check the database before confirming an order. Registration is therefore not an administrative formality but a precondition for being found by the people who might buy from you. If your operation is certified but not correctly registered, the certificate alone will not open doors.

What an entry contains

A database entry typically includes the producer or group name, the location, the product scope (for example fruit and vegetables, aquaculture, or livestock), the certification body that issued the certificate, the certificate issue and expiry dates, and the current status. Buyers use this information to verify that the goods they are sourcing are genuinely covered by a live certificate.

How Sistem Patent Kalite helps

We guide applicants through the registration process, make sure product scopes are entered correctly, and help producer groups coordinate their members' records so the whole group is findable under a single GGN.
