Kosher Certificate and Halal Certificate

Kosher Certification
The word kosher means conforming to Jewish dietary law. The kosher certificate evidences that a product has been produced in line with Jewish dietary law. During production, all processes, materials, and equipment are reviewed on site by a rabbinic representative (hakham) against Jewish dietary requirements. Where practice, equipment, and materials meet the requirements and no contradiction exists, the rabbinic representative issues the kosher certificate. Non-meat products also require review, and they must not contain additives or process steps that fail hygiene standards or conflict with Jewish dietary requirements. For this reason, operators seeking the kosher certificate go through this review.
The kosher reference often appears on products exported to or produced abroad. The reference is sought by non-Jewish consumers as well, because Jewish practice does not permit pork consumption or use.
Halal Certificate
Halal means conforming to Islamic dietary rulings. Halal certification is the issuance of a recognised halal certificate by an impartial body that audits, observes, and approves the production against Islamic dietary rulings. Sistem Patent Kalite provides consultancy for operations seeking the halal certificate.
