UFAS certification is the internationally recognised feed quality-assurance system. Established in the UK in 1998, it now has more than 700 participating organisations in its database. UFAS is based on HACCP principles and forms part of the foundation of European feed regulations. Review and certification are delivered by certification bodies accredited under ISO 45011.

The UFAS standard aims to protect human and animal health through HACCP-based operations from feed production through to distribution. The scheme also supports conformity with the applicable legal requirements across the food chain.
