BSCI, short for Business Social Compliance Initiative, is a unified European approach created to monitor social standards in producer countries across all consumer goods categories. Through a development-driven network approach, BSCI reaches hundreds of firms in Europe and in producer countries.
The BSCI audit network was developed to reduce the audit burden on producers. For BSCI member firms, there is no need to run separate audits against different standards.
BSCI was created by amfori (formerly FTA) to help firms improve social conformity across the global supply chain and build consistency. It offers a common platform for the ethical-requirements and monitoring networks used by various European firms.
