The FAMI-QS certification process runs as follows.

Applying to Sistem Patent Kalite for FAMI-QS

Core-operation firms apply for FAMI-QS certification by submitting the relevant competence documents, system documentation, and signed certification agreements.

Key process features:

• The firm's licence, a copy of its operator code, and a copy of the feed-additive manufacturing licence.
• Firms operating in the EU confirm their acceptance of the EU-specific requirements and the applicable membership fee.
• The system documentation is reviewed against the scheme requirements and the firm's actual operating conditions, and any required additions or adjustments are identified.
• After the document review and site audit, the audit report is written up and forwarded, together with the advance payment and the communication record, to our certification body for the decision.
• The Technical Committee review is completed, and Sistem Patent Kalite issues the certificate.
• The firm is then audited annually by the certification body to keep the certificate valid.
