How to Obtain an ISO Certificate
ISO is the short form of the International Organization for Standardization. Founded in 1947 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, ISO is the body behind the international standards. The ISO certificate is a certification issued to organisations that demonstrate they deliver services in line with defined standards and hold competence in their field. Every form of certification against standards published by ISO is referred to as an ISO certificate. The documents required for an ISO certificate are the records the organisation needs to submit at the time of application.
When we talk about documents required for an ISO certificate, we typically mean the documents required for ISO 9001. At Sistem Patent Kalite, we give the client the information they need on the ISO 9001 system documentation from the start. Our offices in Izmir, Ankara, and Istanbul are the most commonly used for ISO 9001 certification; Adana, Eskisehir, Bursa, Konya, Kayseri, and Antalya complete the network of consultancy offices that serve clients across Turkey.
The term "ISO certificate" is a convenient phrase that has grown up in common use, partly because the exact meaning of the certificate in question is not always clear. It is sometimes written as "ISO certificates", or in lowercase as "iso certificates".
ISO has set a large number of quality standards for industry, commerce, and manufacturing worldwide, and has developed different types of certification against those criteria.
To hold an ISO certificate, an organisation needs to operate a quality management system. That system typically includes forms, documents, workflows, warnings, the quality manual, and other documentation, all of which must be in genuine, live use.
We want to underline that we are now talking about documents outside the ISO 9001 system documentation itself. During the ISO 9001 certification application to Sistem Patent Kalite, the organisation must submit, along with the application form, a set of documents that introduce its activity and its legal status.
Those documents are:
- Certification application form
- Tax registration certificate
- Trade registry gazette
- Signature circular
- Chamber of commerce or industry registration certificate (or activity certificate)
- Most recent social security (SSK) filing
Why ISO 9001

- Once the required documents reach Sistem Patent Kalite, the certification and testing consultancy, the process starts.
Once the documentation system build, the training, and the audit activities are complete, the organisation qualifies for the ISO 9001 certificate.
