Barcode Registration Process

Barcode Registration
The barcode registration process works as follows. Once the required documents are filed and the fee is paid, the international code number is assigned to the applicant within about one month.
- The right to use the number is granted on an annual basis. To keep the number valid, the annual fee must be paid each year.
- If your company needs additional numbers later, a new application has to be filed. To avoid losing the right to the number, pay the annual fee before the anniversary of your original application.
What is GHP Certification?
Barcode registration sits alongside wider product compliance work. Sistem Patent Kalite handles the full file: preparing the required documents, applying through the right channel, and managing the renewal calendar so the number stays valid year over year.
Who Needs a Barcode?
Any business that sells packaged goods through retailers, distributors, or e-commerce platforms needs a registered barcode. Retail chains and online marketplaces typically require a valid GS1 barcode before accepting a product onto their shelves or listings.
