What Is Good Hospital Practice?
Good Hospital Practice is a scientific and ethical quality standard built on the principles of the current Helsinki Declaration, covering the design, conduct, recording, and reporting of clinical research on human subjects. Good clinical practice provides assurance to society that the rights, safety, and confidentiality of volunteers in a trial are protected, and that the information the trial produces is reliable. The aim of Good Hospital Practice is to create a single standard that simplifies international mutual acceptance of clinical information. The standard guides the collection of clinical information to be submitted to the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, and sets out the principles and details of clinical trials conducted or planned in Turkiye.
