What Is ETL?

ETL (Edison Testing Laboratories) is a North American product-safety mark that evidences a product meets the applicable North American safety standards, including the relevant gas, electrical, and general-safety requirements. It is currently one of the fastest-growing safety marks across North American retail channels and is widely recognised by retailers as an acceptable alternative to other listing marks. One of the strengths of the ETL mark is that it covers a broad range of referenced standards. The ETL logo confirms that a product has been tested to recognised safety standards and that it is fit for sale in the United States and other North American markets. An ETL mark on a product indicates that an independent accredited laboratory has tested the product against the relevant safety standards and confirmed the minimum safety requirements for sale and distribution within the US market.

Sistem Patent Kalite, as a certification and consultancy firm, also offers related technical-consultancy services around ETL testing and inspection. To learn more about the ETL process for your specific product, contact our experienced team.
