What Good Agricultural Practice Is
Good Agricultural Practice means that agricultural production is conducted in a controlled way that supports human, environmental, and animal health, and that the resulting certified products reach the consumer. Sistem Patent Kalite provides Good Agricultural Practice certification consultancy.
Good Agricultural Practice is the set of procedures established to ensure that agricultural production does not harm human, animal, or environmental health, that natural resources are protected, that sustainability and traceability are maintained, and that food safety is built in. The related framework draws on the Turkish Agricultural Producer Associations Law (No. 5200), the Plant Quarantine and Plant Protection Law (No. 6968), and the Food Law (No. 5179). Agricultural products audited by bodies authorised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs are called Good Agricultural Practice products, which means the product has been obtained with minimal environmental impact.
