How the Organic Agriculture Certificate Is Obtained

Sistem Patent Kalite supports the organic agriculture certification process. Through visits, information sessions, and other outreach, operations contact us to apply, and we send the organic agriculture application form. Once completed, the form is returned to us in person, by fax, or by email. Using the information in the form, we prepare a contract for the operator. Once the contract is signed, the operator receives a number and a file is opened. A suitable audit plan is then prepared based on the application and the contract, and our inspectors are authorised to conduct the required checks.

Inspectors audit the site and its activities on the agreed dates, against an organic agriculture control list prepared in line with the principles and practice of organic agriculture. During the audit, the inspector reviews the land's activity history, past practices, regional context, the products obtained, any risk situations, and the operator's records and reports. The inspector then issues an audit report. The report sets out the results of the audit against the principles and practice of organic agriculture.

If the outcome is positive, the operator receives an Organic Agriculture Operator Certificate, and if the transition period is complete, also an Organic Product Certificate. If the outcome is negative, the operator is informed in writing (a negative certification decision letter) and the process restarts.
