UL is a product-safety certificate issued following testing and inspection coordinated by Sistem Patent Kalite as an international certification and test-consultancy partner. The file follows a defined sequence of steps under the applicable UL standard.

Step-by-step UL certification process

• The applicable UL standard is identified for the product.
• The required tests are defined.
• If any tests need to run on site, the corresponding test equipment is procured.
• UL standard procedures are integrated into the quality management system documentation.
• The Factory Production Control System (FPC) is set up.
• The product's technical file is prepared.
• For small products, samples are shipped to the UL laboratory. For larger products, testing is carried out on site.
• If the product passes testing, a factory visit and FPC review follow.
• If the factory review is clean, UL certification is issued.
