What Was Revised in the ISO 14001:2015 Standard

ISO 14001:2015 standardında neler revize edildi?

ISO 14001 environmental management certification covers the activities carried out at a production site and how those activities relate to air, soil, water, natural resources, plant and animal diversity, and the people present on site. It is a structured framework that keeps environmental impact in view from the first step of production through delivery to the end customer.

The ISO 14001 standard was revised in response to environmental and regulatory developments. The topics revised in ISO 14001:2015 are:

  • risk-based approach,
  • scope and applicability,
  • documented information,
  • performance evaluation,
  • management review,
  • life-cycle perspective and control of outsourced processes.

Companies working toward ISO 14001 environmental management certification should pay close attention to these areas.

The first edition of ISO 14001 was published in 1996, and it took its place as the second widely applied management-system standard after ISO 9001. The standard was revised again after 2004, leading up to the 2015 edition.
