Recreational Craft and Yacht Directive Enters Into Force

The Recreational Craft and Yacht Directive has entered into force. The Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications published the Recreational Craft and Yacht Directive in the Official Gazette, and it is now active.

Under the new directive, the methods and technical requirements for CE marking have been set for the manufacture of recreational craft and yachts, along with the conditions for placing these products on the market.

Recreational craft and engines produced under the now-repealed prior Recreational Craft Directive may still be placed on the Turkish market until 1 July 2018.
