5th OIC Halal EXPO Fair. The Halal Summit held alongside the fair will bring together senior representatives from Islamic-finance institutions across many countries.

The 5th OIC Halal EXPO Fair and World Halal Summit Istanbul 2017 will be held in the third week of November. According to reports, the fair is organized this year in cooperation with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and will run alongside the Council of Ministers meeting for Economic and Commercial Cooperation, with senior ministers from all 57 OIC member states taking part. The event will be held at the Lutfi Kirdar Convention and Exhibition Centre in the third week of November.

Heads of state from many countries are expected to attend. As part of the 5th OIC Halal EXPO Fair, senior institutional representatives from OIC member states and other countries will deliver conferences on halal food and other topics. Experts from around the world will gather under one roof to address key issues in the global halal sector. Many firms and brands from related sectors across different countries are expected to attend, as Turkey aims to position itself as the center of the halal ecosystem.
