2017 Organic and Good Agricultural Practices Support Plan Announced

"The 2017 organic agriculture and Good Agricultural Practices supports defined under the Council of Ministers decree have been announced. The support figures for farmers engaged in organic and good agricultural production this year have now been published."
The Council of Ministers has announced the agricultural support amounts for 2017. The figures for organic agriculture and other farming branches show no material change compared with the previous year, while Good Agricultural Practices will now be supported on a per-certificate basis.
Organic Farming Support Unchanged
For 2017 production, farmers registered in the Farmer Registration System and the Organic Agriculture Information System who are in transition phase 2 or later will receive area-based support.
Under Group 1:

Peanut production will also be supported at 30 TL per decare. Organic production outside Groups 1, 2, and 3 falls into Group 4 and will receive 10 TL per decare.
Under Good Agricultural Practices, individual certificate holders will receive more than group certificate holders. Individual certificate holders producing fruit and vegetables will receive 50 TL per decare and group certificate holders 40 TL per decare. In ornamental and medicinal aromatic plants, individual certificate holders will receive 100 TL per decare and group certificate holders 80 TL per decare. The largest support under Good Agricultural Practices goes to greenhouse production: both individual and group certificate holders in greenhouse production will receive 150 TL per decare, while individual and group certificate holders in rice production will receive 10 TL per decare at the same rate. In aquaculture, trout, sea bream, and sea bass will receive 25 kurus per kilogram up to 250,000 kilograms.
