Documentary nonconformity
A nonconformity that can be closed by reviewing the submitted documentation within a set one-month window, without a second on-site review of the service point.
Certification criterion
In areas where no published standard yet exists to support certification, a document issued by the TSE Standards Preparation Central Directorate that serves as the basis for certification until a standard is published. The criterion reflects current technical know-how, the characteristics of the service, and conditions in Turkey.
Physical nonconformity
A nonconformity that can only be closed by re-auditing the service point on site.
Scope of certification
The information stating, for the certificate holder, which importer or manufacturer is represented, which brands are covered, and under which Turkish standard or criterion the service is delivered.
Review expert
A qualified person appointed and authorised by the Professional Assignment Committee to assess conformity to the applicable Turkish standard or criterion and to produce a report using the system documentation.
